- Starting a new job is nerve-racking enough, but if you're John
- F. Kennedy Jr., it can be a circus. The son of the late President
- was mobbed by the press last week on his first day at the Manhattan
- District Attorney's office. "This is embarrassing," said the novice
- assistant D.A., who was sworn in with 68 others. "I have to work
- with these people." He will earn $30,000 a year handling
- consumer-fraud and corruption cases. Before he settles into the
- job, he has had to clean up his own record. For one thing, he
- shelled out $2,357 for 62 unpaid city parking tickets.
